Local AI
A supported model runs on your Mac through Ollama or LM Studio.

Provider charges and privacy terms apply. The free app does not include paid API usage.
Dayflow Pro
Dayflow manages cloud analysis.
Under the privacy policy, Dayflow Pro deletes screenshots after processing and may retain Activity Data for sync. Your own provider has its own terms.
Connecting an assistant adds another data path
An assistant can receive the Dayflow data it retrieves in your conversation. Local storage does not make a cloud assistant conversation local. If you ask Claude Code or Codex to inspect your week, the returned activity information enters that assistant's context. Its provider and account settings govern that processing.
For a report, keep Allow edits off in Settings → MCP / CLI unless you also want the assistant to change Dayflow data. Read-only access prevents edits; it does not prevent the assistant from receiving the information it reads.
Export only what you intend to share
Choose a date range in Settings → Export, then export Markdown. Review the file for private messages, client names, URLs, and other details your recipient does not need. Copying the file into a cloud assistant also shares its contents with that service.
Capture can miss work
Dayflow needs macOS screen-recording permission and active recording for new captures. It does not reconstruct an offline conversation or a paused period. The app may also have analysis waiting to finish, so check the timeline before assuming the day is complete.
What this page verifies
The Mac client, export controls, and assistant read tools were inspected for this guide. Client code can show what it sends; it cannot independently establish what a server retains. Cloud deletion and retention commitments are in the privacy policy. Your own provider's terms apply to its service.
